We get asked what to mix with our rum more than almost anything else, so here's the short version, rum by rum.
Silver Rum
Cola, obviously, but also ginger beer, soda and lime, or straight into a mojito. Our Silver Rum is clean enough that it doesn't fight with whatever you put it against.
Spiced Rum
Ginger ale over cola every time in our opinion. Cloudy lemonade works too. Our Spiced Rum already has plenty going on, so keep the mixer simple.
Sloe Rum
Don't drown it. A splash of soda or a top of prosecco is enough. Our Sloe Rum has real flavour in it, and a heavy mixer just mutes it.
Honey and Cherry Liqueurs
Both the Honey Rum Liqueur and Cherry Rum Liqueur are sweet enough to work neat over ice, but lemonade or even just hot water for a toddy-style drink both work well.
The one rule that actually matters
Good ice, and enough of it. A drink that's mostly warm rum and a splash of flat mixer isn't the rum's fault, it's usually an ice problem.
